PULLTEETH LOVES JEREMY SCOTT
So here's to you Jeremy! We love you!

Paper Doll
Shirt - Jeremy Scott x Adidas / Sunglasses - Forever 21
Staying true to the statement from my last post, here is another comically oversized piece I've purchased lately. My Jeremy Scott collection is ever growing, thanks in part to his ongoing collaboration with Adidas. His price points for mainline pieces aren't too too bad, but being able to grab a sale item or two from the Adidas line is pretty nice. While I have your attention, why don't we take a look at a few pieces I'm eyeing from his latest collection with Adidas. He's at it again!

"Spring"

Jacket - Levis / Snapback - DIY / T-shirt - Jeremy Scott / Pleather Sweats - Front Row Shop / Shoes - Opening Ceremony
Black on black on black on black for spring, can't you tell I'm excited about this God awful weather we've been having? Snow fall. Today. April 17th. Snow. I've already packed up all my winter gear, I refuse to come to the terms with the fact that I'll probably still need them. Jean jackets and windbreakers from now on. Maybe if I dress like it's actually spring Mother Nature will catch up with me.

Pulling Teeth: Bobby Bowen Interview

|
Who are you? ASL? Bobby Bowen, Stylist/Creative Director, 24, Male, Toronto's where I'm reppin How did you get into styling/creative direction? I first got into styling when I was really young. I always would dress my friends in high school for dress down days. They'd say “I always knew what looked good” and had good style so they would come to me the night before and consult. But I got into it more when I was in college. I knew exactly what I wanted to do off the bat. I started assisting an amazing stylist by the name of Shea Hurley, who was working in the industry, that really trusted me as an assistant and let me work on some big shoots with her. She was getting so much work that she couldn’t do all 3 shoots in one day, so she would send me on the smaller jobs and let me style the models. She would give me full credit for the styling direction which helped me start my book. Tell us about your biggest triumph in your career… I would say my biggest triumph in my career so far was my 1st editorial in NY titled “Harlem's Finest” with some of my favorite designers to collaborate with; Hood By Air, Jeremy Scott and Sir New York. It was something I had always dreamed of since I was really young, to shoot in NY in the Hood of Harlem, Harlem 103 and Lexionton. That shoot really opened my eyes and I was inspired beyond levels, so I’d say that was my biggest accomplishment to date. |

You seem to work a lot with Jeremy Scott. Any other go-to designers for your work? I work a lot with Jeremy Scott because it really defines myself. The cartoon characters, the whimsical fun crazy stuff, I grew up with a lot of it. It really takes me back to my childhood which I try to always incorporate in my creative shoots. Some other designers I go to for work would be Hood By Air, Ksubi, and Givenchy. (If I had the access to it in Toronto) I also like a lot of independent designers, their vision and designs are soo fresh and exciting. I like to give them an outlet to start in the fashion industry. What are you more interested in; Womenswear or Menswear? Menswear, although womenswear is a lot more fun!! You're currently based in Toronto. Any plans to change your location? "Toronto where I'm Reppin" But, I do see myself moving to NY in a few years. Make a move and really do some big shit out there. What does 2013 hold for Bobby Bowen? 2013 Is gonna be a lot of change, growing, and experiencing. Definitely some print work for the world to see, and some cool collaborations. B's up Bobby's on the rise! Main influencers? Jason Farrer (best stylist ever), Riccardo Tisci, Alliyah, Drake, my older brothers and sisters, and all the members of Wu-Tang Clan (sooo much style on those cats) Dream job? Contributing Fashion Editor at Hero Magazine or VMAN Where can we follow you online? Just Shoot Me

Sweater - Jeremy Scott
It's become a tradition of mine to wear a Jeremy piece on the day of his show. Today I'm wearing a knit sweater I found on eBay a few months ago. The one thing about this piece is that I need to be mindful about not wearing it around children, ha! It's actually strange owning pieces that you personally don't think twice about, but other people have trouble understanding. (hello Martin Margiela keyring necklace) Oh well, shock value has to be worth something, right?

This season we get more graphic, unapologetic pieces from Jeremy. There is a definite grunge feel with this collection with I'm feeling... Something I've been going for the last little bit with my personal style. A good baggy plaid short and combat boots, I'm so game. I've actually had dreams about thrifting a fur coat like the one he showed. I know it likely won't happen, but a boy can dream! Plus these zip knee pants and getting the DIY wheels turning in my head. Might have to try these out. Another great show from Jeremy!

Shoes - Bernhard Willhelm x Camper via Solestruck
I've recently teamed up with Solestruck who were kind enough to send me one of my dream shoes, the Camper for Bernhard Willhelm sneakers. They've featured me in an interview on their blog as well as on the main page of their website?! It's honestly so strange to see your own mug plastered on one of your favourite online shops. Such an honour, so thank you Solestruck!

It's no secret that I'm a long time fan of Jeremy Scott. Last season my love for him multiplied x 1,000,000 when he presented an internet inspired collection. I mean, seriously? There is literally nothing else I can imagine that would be more up my ally. Owning something from the collection wasn't an option, it was a must. On a recent trip to Montreal I made a visit to the Adidas Originals store and found this shirt from his collaboration line with the brand. I can't think of any other designer who could design a rainbow print keyboard shirt and present it to the masses with a huge company like Adidas. That's what I love about him. Fearless design that's unapologetic. And while I've got you, why not give the Jeremy Scott x Adidas Originals video a look. So into it.
So Jeremy, keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep following.

Currently Coveting: Jeremy Scott x Adidas Ponyhair Creepers

If you know me, you know how much I love Jeremy Scott. I've been wearing him for years. I remember trying to search him on eBay/Google and getting nothing. I'm not exaggerating. It would be next to impossible to find any of his pieces anywhere. Then came the Adidas collaboration. What was once a dead-end search has turned into a treasure trove of decently affordable pieces. I've become a collector of sorts, treating myself once or twice a year to one of his iconic and recognizable pieces. One of the newer additions to the group are these Adidas cowhide pony hair sneakers. A shoe that is juuuuust wearable for everyday life without compromising the Jeremy Scott aesthetic. I have somewhat spoiled myself the last few months, so I'll have a few more Jeremy pieces to share in the coming weeks!

Actual Pain

I've been searching for the perfect black hat for a while now. I knew by summer I needed to find one but had no idea where to start looking. Alas, leave it to Jeremy Scott to have some cosmic connection to my fashion woes.

Here's Kanye West at the Fall Winter 2011 Jeremy Scott show. I saw this hat and was obsessed, but had no idea where I'd be able to find it. Next in line of the cosmic connection was through the blogger world. There was a post on Is Mental pointing me in the right direction. But I figured that was the end of my black-hat-lucky-streak, because the hat was sold out. I kept checking back every week, hoping that it would come back in stock. I had to, right?! Well waiting paid off because it finally came back in stock!!

K, JUST SAYIN, but I think my bff Freya and I have a bit more #SWAG than Kanye, no? Platforms? Yeaaaaaaaahhhhhh.
So let this be a lesson to everyone. The internet is awesome. Bloggers are awesome. Jeremy Scott is awesome. Kayne West is awesome too. Actual Pain is fuuuuckkkking awesome.
Check out their web store (more than just hats, amaaaazing tank tops/t-shirts/sweaters)

BRB

I've got my new Jeremy Scott x Longchamp bag all packed up for a family vacation to the Caribbean. Haven't traveled with my family in a few years so I'm not sure what to expect other than some good food, good reads, and lots of sun. Usually I love going on trips just for the shopping, but I'm not sure I'm going to find much other than a few nick-nacks here and there. That's okay though. I'm just really looking forward to some relaxation and to eat, eat, eat!
I also had a big elaborate plan to have scheduled blog posts ready for all next week, but that proved to be impossible with work and packaging and everything else. So, my blog will be M.I.A for a week and a half. I'll hopefully get a few good photos and some neat things to share when I get back.
See you guys soon!!

Jeremy, Jeremy, Jeremy

Jeremy Scott Fall Winter 2011 - image via Hypebeast
I've never been one to experiment with drugs, so Jeremy Scott's latest collection might be the closest I'll get. He is never one to disappoint on the theatrics and this show was no exception. I died over this purple plastic kilt over white leggings with a chunky knit sweater. Not exactly a usual look for Jeremy (or me, really) but something I'd kill to wear none-the-less.
Check out the rest of the collection here.

BIG SECRET: I like Jeremy Scott

T-shirt and shoes - Jeremy Scott
I sort of spoiled myself this Christmas. Both of these are gifts I bought for myself before the holiday season. Now now, I know it's not really in the true Christmas spirit showering myself with gifts, but how could I resist?! I've been eying the Jeremy Scott x Adidas wing shoes ever since the original release but my cheap ass couldn't afford them. How was I expected to say no when they showed up on Luisaviaroma for 50% off?! Impossible. And the t-shirt... Well the shirt showed up in my "Newly listed Jeremy Scott items" email I receive daily. That thing is dangerous too.
Plus, now I have chic gym wear for my cliche "get fit" new years resolution. (I'm looking at you poliopoliopolio & CoaCD)
Hope everyone had a great holiday/new years!

My Super Sweet 20th

(The Paps - Cut & Paste Girl)

Wearing Jeremy Scott t-shirt, vintage leather jacket, secondhand shorts, Dr. Marten boots
Thanks again for everyone who helped plan such an incredible party! By the end of the night the venue was packed with the best pals a guy could asked for. Not sure how I'm going to top this one next year. Vegas, maybe? Hm....

I should also mention that I did an interview with Samia for Goldzmine. It's a nice, quick interview with some interesting questions, it's worth checking out!

I thought turning 20 was going to end the end of my life, and I was right. I'm dead. I died happy as a damn clown, though. WHAT THE HELL! Thanks "JS Assistant" and thanks Jeremy! My birthday just got a million times better!!!!!

Jeremy Scott in 3D (or maybe not...)
While in Vancouver last week I stopped by the Adidas Originals store, just to look! (or so I told myself) Went in and tried on an entire Jeremy Scott outfit... just for fun! (or so I told myself) Left the store without buying anything but returned about a half hour later to buy these pants. I couldn't resist!!! I figured I wouldn't have another chance so I splurged a bit. I don't mind spending a bit more than I'm used to on pieces I really like lately. I'm so happy I got these. AH!! And I got the idea from Raez to try 3Ding myself but didn't have any 3D glasses laying around so I followed a Wikihow tutorial on how to make your own... They didn't really turn out. (click) Anyone else have 3D glasses laying around? Give it a try!!

And perfect timing, right after I get home Nylon releases the first photos of the new Jeremy Scott x Adidas collaboration. I loveeeeeeee it all!! Better start saving my pennies.

Fuck the Rich

I love recieving mail and I've been getting sooooo much lately. Except I'm paying tons of money for most of it which sucks. Anyone want to send me some free stuff? I'd gladly accept mail without paying for it :D
Anyhow, here's my new Nasty Gal Vintage circle glasses, Jeremy Scott pullover, and thrifted floral shorts.
